Portrait sessions are a bit more posed than event photography, but I still specialize in more of a candid style than a traditional approach. For a children's session, for instance, I like to follow the child with my camera rather than trying to get them to hold still and say "cheese". That's how you'll get the most natural portraits of your child. Family sessions are also taken with a more candid approach, as well as getting the more traditional group photo of everyone. I like to take separate portraits of each family member candidly, and most of the time they're not even aware that I'm photographing them! I approach portrait sessions in an easy and relaxed manner, often using a long lens so I can capture the moment, and the personalities, unobtrusively from a distance.
Portrait sessions are scheduled at least one week in advance and are limited to weekdays during the busy wedding season.
